We will talk all things backbends! Core stability, spinal mobility, shoulder position, hip flexibility - all the things 😊
My goal is for it to both be a solid flexibility training session but also provide the underlying knowledge to understand:🔍 Anatomy Insights: Understand the mechanics of backbending.🏋️♂️ Optimized Training: Learn how to structure your sessions for maximum flexibility.🧠 The Science of Flexibility: Uncover the geeky side of gaining flexibility – presented in bite-sized, relatable chunks! FAQs
What level of flexibility is required?No worries if you're a beginner! This workshop caters to all levels. Whether you're a seasoned aerialist or just starting your flexibility journey, there's something for everyone.
What equipment is required?You will definitely need yoga blocks and a free wall. Optional: I will show some variations of exercises that include a chair, foam roller and both long and short looped workout bands.
Will there be hands-on assistance?Unfortunately no as the workshop is virtual. I will, however, be there to guide you through each movement. I will also watch each of you after I demo and give feedback and adjustments.
What do you mean by “getting nerdy”?In addition to sharing some of my favorite backbendy conditioning, we’ll also talk about the muscles and joints involved, proper body positioning, and how to make training super effective using mobility and strength based methods.
Is there a replay available?Yes, a recording will be sent to all attendees. So, even if you miss a moment or want to revisit the workshop, you won't miss out on any valuable insights.
